Anyone have experience with rain within 4-6 hours after applying FAS or foliar N? @Mightyquinn ?
For foliar N, I found an article that suggests that most of it is taken in after 4 hours: http://gsrpdf.lib.msu.edu/ticpdf.py?file=/2010s/2010/100107.pdf .
But, what about FAS? If I can cram in some sprays tomorrow evening after I do everything else on two different lawns tomorrow, plus going to HD for Mulch, peat moss, and maybe Milo I will, but it's going to rain tomorrow night around midnight.

Thanks.

I don't think you will have any issues as long as you can get around 4 hours of the product sitting on the grass blade. I too have read that most grass will absorb all they can in 4 hours so after that you should be good to go as you will reach maximum benefit.

I'm far from a FAS expert, but I have learned that you're supposed to wash it off after a few hours anyway. For example, apply Saturday evening and run the irrigation Sunday morning.

Thanks for the advice. I did not get to apply it today, after all. Hopefully in a few days.

I wash it off by the next morning as well.

I ended up applying the FAS to one area this evening after mowing. We are getting rain tomorrow morning, so that's good because it might hit 80 next week. Don't want that stuff staying on the grass when it's 80 or higher.

Still haven't done the liquid fert on the other area, yet. That one doesn't have to be washed off before 80 or higher temps, too, does it? I'm planning to use 0.1 lb/M of N.

The FAS the other night worked nicely. This was my first time doing it this time of year. I had done it in late Fall a few times in the past. Looks like it works better in the Spring. Looks like an instant fertilizer job. I also did the foliar N on the other area this evening (pretty much my first time ever trying that). I will be doing more of both over the coming weeks.
