Greetings.
I just started on the forum a few weeks ago. Took my 1st step and got a soil test. My N is very low at 3ppm. I thought well I need to add Nitrogen so might as well do a Fall nitrogen blitz from the cool season guide on the front lawn. Maybe I can learn something smallish as opposed to trying to jump into a reno or overseed.
I have a very small area ~385sqft in front. This is causing some issues as you have to buy product in quantities that is way to much for such a small lawn. Locally the only urea is in a 50lb bag. I would only need to use 0.8lb of urea per month. I saw some people are using DEF as an alternative. I know long term and cost/application the bag is better but DEF is intriguing because I can spend $25 less and not need to store a big bag.
My question. I know using a liquid application will be more potent but how much do I scale back? If I was going to apply 1lb/1000sqft of granular urea what is the application rate of liquid urea like DEF?
Thanks for any insight.
