My question is directly in relation to my error last August:
https://thelawnforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=870&hilit=prodiamine

At that time, I exceeded my annual pre-m rate. Question I have, what does this mean for the spring? Do I have to skip and deal with any invaders? Can I pretend I didn't know, apply a half rate and then just fall into a proper schedule?

Just trying to determine that to do in the coming weeks.

What you need to know, is:

-How long is that rate supposed to last?
-Does Prodiamine make it through a cold Winter?

I'm sure there are a lot of people here who can answer those questions...

That's nothing to what I did to my fescue.
I basically had a major math meltdown last fall & misintepreted the label so instead of :
0.83 oz/k - I put down 8.3 oz/k.
Or essentially 10x the annual rate per thousand square feet.
On 7k square feet - that's 3.63 lbs for just 7k sqft!!!!!!!
Or 1.6x the acre (43.5k =sqft rate) rate on only 1/6th the area!!!!

That's on top of what I put down in the spring @0.45 oz/k

So why am I not surprised that my lawn this spring is far behind every1 else's lawn.
It's patchy yellow in some places; barely growing in other places; & dead in a couple of places.

The CEO (aka wife) wants answers.
I've laid down the 10-10-10 balance fert in mid March.
Will do Milo in Mid April to encourage growth.
If I can get to June with less patchiness & yellowing - I'll be very happy.

But I'm laying off the pro-diamine till next spring 2019.

ps - I do see no signs of POA or Crabgrass...

I believe prodiamine is broken down by microbes so it should make it though a winter just fine

Holy smokes, and there I was all worried last fall about killing the grass. Guess I might be ok then. If yours made it, I should have little issue
