So tonight I mowed and stood at just the right angle to see the "rolling" of my front yard so I snapped a picture.

Do you think this might be "erosion" happening? There's no gutter drainage this way, it goes to the right, down the hill on the side.

Should I just start filling and working this up, or maybe this was purposely done to naturally drain water away from the house?

Or maybe it was just years of neglect from previous owners (myself included)?

Starts up by the house and works its way toward the tulip bed by the street? Making sure i'm seeing this right.

It looks like that could be a mini swale or maybe it was erosion that happened before you started working the yard.

Whats the height difference between the bottom and tops?

I have an area like this too, but much worse. It's where the builder ran the sewer line (two clean outs along the way). In one spot there's at least a 6-8" sink where the soil has settled. My plan is to remove the sod (either via a sod cutter or shovel), throw down some top soil (I could need as much as a yard) and then put the sod back on top.
