So last week the daughter is in town for a week and she brought her dog with her. Its like a 15 pound Goldendoodle or something. My first thought was "Damn, there goes the back yard".

So they left this weekend. Then yesterday I start to notice dark green sports in my lawn. Thinking maybe its weather related or something I ignore it. Then someone posts another thread in here about green patches in their lawn. I go look at my backyard today and notice that the two spots where the dog wizz killed some grass, now have a dark green patch around it.

So then I realize that the dark green patches in the lawn...are from the dog wizz. Interesting.

My dog usually eats the same food every day and typically it greens up where she goes as you show but every now and then it'll burn it brown. Not sure why. We fostered a greyhound one time and she'd pee quart it seemed. Had dinner plate size burnt spots all over the yard -she wasn't our "forever dog" ; )

Dazomet, a soil fumigant used to eliminate almost every living object in a soil has a secondary metabolite of N. In its early use, sulerintendents would have it applied, only to come in and see greener grass the next day! It would eventaully do its job and anihilate everything.

Conclusion: I think the pup pisses dazomet!

my freaking neighbor lets their labs run wild in the neighborhood and guess who's yard they love to pee in? got the burn marks to prove it.

at least I broke them from crapping in the yard. after nicely asking three times for them to quit letting them take a dump in my yard I got a shovel full and tossed it on their front porch. problem solved.

My Dad is getting a puppy soon and I know he's gonna bring it over for the kids. It'll run in the yard and I'll follow it around with the hose spraying water wherever it pees :D

There's huge patches that still haven't grown in (probably going to have to seed) this year... 2 75# boxers and 5+ months of dormant Bermuda say otherwise. The only way I keep a lawn is watering it down, which... I'll agree... Dog whizz and a gallon of water is magic. But without that water, it's just a pain...
