Interested in how got it to stop too?.... Looks like its recovering. Top dressing may help but it'll probably come back on it's it own in no time.
I purchased a motion sensor from Home Depot, and also an extra valve. Hooked up my new valve to the main line and tied in to my existing sprinkler irrigation. Wired the motion sensor to the valve and now when even anything goes in my lawn my sprinkler turn on for a few seconds. I'll post pictures later today or tomorrow.
The lawn will repair itself pretty quickly when things kick into full gear. I battled these spots for a while as well and they just fill in.
It's nothing more than a nitrogen burn so treat it as if you spilled fertilizer. That Tifgreen will recover quickly! There are some awesome videos on Youtube with motion-sensor sprinkler deterrents for cats.
