Last year in August when I was out of town all month my sprinklers didn’t run and at least half my lawn is dead. I bought some Sod last September and put it where the really bad spots were thinking the rest of it would be ok but it’s not and looks like crap.

Just adding more sod is an option I supposed but it’s a big enough job that I probably need to pay to have it done properly. I’m guessing around 2500sqft needs new sod and around 4k if I do the whole thing.

a lot of the green is Lirope that’s spread into the yard.

Just looking for suggestions to get back on track here.

Most of you grass looks dormant, not dead. There's some dead areas for sure, but I'd wait a month before deciding whats dead and what's not. St Augustine can repair itself. If you treat it right, no need to re-sod. However, if that Bermuda takes over, it's prolly over for your St Augustine. If it takes over and you like the look, just switch to Bermuda, feed it a lot of nitrogen and water, cut it frequently and watch it turn into a beautiful Bermuda yard by the end of the growing season.
