Hi I have what I believe is creeping bentgrass turned brown in a fescue mix lawn. It's 80's and humid next week here in Cincinnati.

Can I apply tenacity now, or is it a waste since it seems like it's brown and not green?

Can I or should I pull it out by raking or using my hands, then spray later?

@Bkell101 I'm going to link a thread with a response from @g-man that had some nice articles linked regarding creeping bent grass notably controlling it with Tenacity.

I would definitely wait until we get slightly cooler weather before using anything as any surrounding good turf is stressed enough as it is.

I read Gmans post and the articles...

1. what do you think about combo therapy?

2. what do you think about one of the articles mentioning lower temps are better?

3. what do you think about me handpulling up as much as I can, then applying, then raking up dead stuff inbetween aplications? (one of the articles suggested power raking was key between applications)
