So, I think I'm ready to finally pull the trigger on a reel mower (so far I've been using a rotary). I've been hoping to find one on Craigslist, but I haven't had any luck over the last couple of months. A local dealer does have a couple of used tru cuts for sale. One of them is within my price range and looks like it's been pretty well taken care of (it's a 25" with the gx160 motor), but I wanted to get everybody's opinion in regards to the condition of the reel. The reel isn't sharp whatsoever and I'm not even sure it could be backlapped at this point. It doesn't even have any kind of bevel, relief grind, whatever you want to call it. Just a square edge (or close to it) on the face of the blade. Instead of backlapping would I need to have this blade sharpened? What would the approximate cost of that be? Any way to know how much longer the reel that's on there will last? Other than that it looks like it's in pretty good shape. There's not any nicks in the reel or bed knife and the bed knife is still pretty sharp. Any feedback is much appreciated.

Any pictures of the reel or bedknife?
