Anyone had any issues with this? The sprayer is less than 4 months old. Now the switch will only power the unit if it's in the perfect spot. Anyone had any issues like this? Any experience with chapin customer service?

Follow up 9/19: I called chapin intl Sat and left a message. They called me back today. There is a known problem with the switch. They are mailing out a whole new housing today for free. It sounds like it's the black piece under the tank. I'll post another follow-up once I get it.

Follow up 2: the part came Monday 9/25. Installation was simple. One 4mm hex bolt that secures a collar. The round bottom piece houses the switch. Disconnect and reconnect a black and red wire. Replace everything. 5 mins tops.

I haven't heard of any issues with the switch. But I have heard that they have pretty good CS!

That being said, When I was spraying the other day, I think I tugged a little hard (not intentionally) and the whole sprayer came off from the pump. I had a geyser of Mirimichi coming out of the pump 😆. When I was reattaching the hose to the pump, I noticed I had some rust on the handles. Not too happy about that, considering it has been stored inside.

Have you sprayed anything with iron in it? Maybe that caused the rust?

No, this is rust on the outside, where the paint has chipped off, and I didn't notice it had chipped when I assembled it. The packing in the container was less than stellar (arrived with a broken handle on the sprayer, remember?), so the parts probably were banging around in the shipping box. The zinc fasteners are showing surface oxidation as well. vOv
