There's no seed for Zoysia matrella available in the market. You can get Zoysia japonica though. There are 2 cultivars of japonica available, compadre and zenith. I read that zenith has better color and is more drought-tolerant. And that compadre is more shade tolerant. I have Compadre and I can attest that it has good shade tolerance.
Cavalier is only available through sod or sprigs.
