I seeded for Centipede About a month and a half ago. Some areas of my lawn are being taken over by weeds and crabgrass. In the beginning I let them grow to prevent erosion, but now they are getting out of hand. Is it too early to spray for weeds, or use a weed and feed?

On a separate note, is it too early to mow?

Thanks for the help!

Cute puppers, ugly crabgrass! Definitely go to town on those weeds. They're competing with the new grass for nutrients and sunlight. You're going to be a little limited in your selection of herbicides, but you'd be safe to use Tenacity (Mesotrione) on centipede for crabgrass. If you've got other weeds, you might need a broader selective herbicide, but Tenacity should take care of a lot of the stuff that's growing in your turf.
