I am planning a lawn reno this fall and am gearing up to kill the lawn. I have a bunch of Poa T that I planted using inadvertently by using the wrong shade mix for some problem spots. I need some more glyphosate so was looking around. I had always used this stuff before. It is 41% glyphosate, but I also see this 73% QuikPRO. I would normally not think twice, but it sounds like Triv is especially hard to kill. Any pros or cons to the higher concentration stuff other than the included surfactant? Anyone use the QuikPRO before?

I've read that Diquat (in the quickpro you linked, as well as some of the other roundup variants) gives a quicker visual burn effect but reduces the effectiveness of the glyphosate.

I'd follow the other advice here so far - get offbrand pure 41% glyphosate such as home depot's hdx brand or compare-n-save on amazon. If you do get name brand round up for some reason, make super extra sure you don't get the Extended Control or 365 variants since they also act as a pre-emergent and will block grass germination.

Compare and save 41% is fully loaded (has surfactant) and tends to be one of the best values I've seen unless you're needing more than a gallon of product. It's 2.5oz per 300sqft, so 8.3oz per 1k sqft, per app. The Roundup QuickPRO was just way more product than I needed and I didn't want any other chemicals included.

I bought this because it has the surfactant added in. I'm terrible at remembering to add it. I have the Bonide spreader sticker but it's such a small bottle I never see it :)

gly-star! 2-3 ounces per gallon of water will get you a good kill. 2nd app recommend 7-10 days again.

I bought some stuff years ago from lesco, it was called prosecutor

It took 7 days to work, but once it started it killed everything.....and kept it from going back 2ish months.

I just didnt care for the 7ish days it took to see any sign of death LOL
