I see the appeal of electric string trimmers and blowers and I'm looking at a bundle package. Can't decide which one to get. Right now I only have dewalt batteries and tools (saw, drills, etc) but I think their outdoor tools look weak. Does anyone have experience with them or the tools below? I'd love to hear some opinions and what you would go with. I have around 6k property to take care of with a good amount of leaves in fall weed whacking all around. I would also be using the trimmer to maintain my lawn and driveway edges.

The options I'm looking at:
1) Dewalt blower + string trimmer ($199) - already in this line https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-20-Volt-MAX-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-String-Trimmer-and-Blower-Combo-Kit-2-Tool-with-4-0Ah-Battery-and-Charger-Included-DCKO97M1/301363233

2) Gen 2 Milwaukee trimmer + blower with 9Ah battery ($300) - I have no Milwaukee stuff https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-FUEL-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Brushless-Cordless-16-in-String-Trimmer-9-0Ah-Kit-with-M18-GEN-II-FUEL-Blower-2725-21HD-2724-20/304160604

3) Ego - there's a few sales on some models. I'm configuring a combo with an ego blower + trimmer (around $280-$450 depending on if I want an extra battery + charger or model with carbon fiber shaft). It will be similar to this https://www.homedepot.com/p/EGO-110-MPH-530-CFM-56V-Lith-Ion-Cordless-Blower-and-15-in-String-Trimmer-Rapid-Reload-Head-Batteries-and-Chargers-Included-LB5302ST/304510984

Ego seems to have the most favorable reviews. What do you all think..is the Milwaukee comparable or better with the bigger 9Ah battery? Tool Boss on youtube said the Milwaukee gen 2 string trimmer and blower were great but said Ego is still the best because it's what they specialize in.

What would you do?

I've only used the Ego, and have all but converted to it.

I prefer the Ego Multi-Head System versus their string trimmers that have the electric motor on the trimmer head. The rear motor design keeps the door open for all the different attachments. Speaking of attachments, a stick edger was a must for me and Ego was pretty much the only battery option available for that.

I prefer not to get the multi-tool thing. I already have a 4 wheel gas edger for deep edging once a month or so. It's a pain to get started but does a good job. I've used a stick edger before but my sidewalk and erratic high edges made it tough to use. I just need something in between I could grab & go to zip across and cut the hangers. Also the leaf blower is a priority for me.

How much run time would you say the 2.5Ah or 5.0Ah Ego battery gets with the string trimmer?

Unsure on the runtime. I was able to do all my trimming, edging and blowing on a full charge with the 2.5 Ah battery though.
