Threw down heavy rate of celcius and prodiamine due to weed I can't identify and a ton of crab grass sneaking in. Applied 4 gallons just to test everything out and stopped half way through the lawn... Applied Thursday, here's today's results.

She's not happy lol, should be fine in a week or so. Just thought people would like to see what happens when you apply heavy rate celcius when temps are 95+. Enjoy.

neither of those will do anything to crabgrass - you need Quinclorac.
I was under the impression celcius did... The label said it kills crabgrass at high rate? The pre emergent also said it controlled it? Well see I suppose.
It will usually kill crabgrass, but you will still be looking at it for a couple of weeks. One day you will be looking for it and it's just gone.

Well I'm sure there's tons of things you could dump on crabgrass that will kill it at high rates, including diesel fuel :) My point being, you could use a low rate of things that actually target it and not torch your grass as much. PRE-M will control new emergence of crab grass from seed.

I wouldn't recommend spraying the high rate of Celsius in Summer heat (unless the lawn is well irrigated and showing no stress), but since it's already been done, I wouldn't recommend spraying anything else on the stressed turf.

That's why I did it. Some areas get 1.5 to 2 inches a week (high dog areas), and none of it was stressed. Figured a little stress is better than a yard of crab grass. Well see, I didn't do quin, from what I read that'll stress the grass more in such high heat.

Live and you learn, well see if it's worth it.
