This was my spring soil test. I've thrown down Milo a couple times now and I did do a half app of starter fertilizer that had some K in it. I don't want to use that again due to the high N going into summer.

Sulfate of potash is what I used to use (0-0-50) use, but my local fert store cannot get it anymore. Muriate of potash is another option (0-0-60) but the chloride used to make it is the only drawback. I used it this season and just watered it in.

Both are granular and might a take a few calls around to source.

Straight SOP is tough to find locally for most ppl so if you cant find it kelp4less sells it from their site and eBay with free shipping.

This is what I use as I can't find SOP locally. The granules are not typical granules but they spread just fine.

True. I mixed SOP with some milo to help carry it.

Check out Turf Trade in Mullica Hill (Contact @gregonfire for info). They have SOP.

I've been doing the same. The kelp4less ebay offering goes on sale for 15% off every once in a while, which helps somewhat.

MOP is $16 where I am for 50 lbs. They also sell it as de-icer due to the high salt content. SOP is double the price but like @g-man said, MOP isn't great for the soil. It's kinda sad that almost all the fertilizers use it it their blends. I know it's cheap but really? Anything to make a buck I guess. For this reason, I blend my own. Matt Martin order's his specific mix too!

@NoslracNevok that's MOP instead of SOP. Both deliver potassium but the MOP is not as nice to the soil as SOP.
Thanks g-man, learned something new. My lawn had plenty of K so I didn't buy this, just the two to the left (N&P). Glad because I'd have some serious buyers remorse.
