The University of Arkansas and Oklahoma State University will co-host a turfgrass shortcourse on January 4-5, 2018 in Fayetteville, AR. This event is a 2-day, intensive course that covers the basics of turfgrass management, including topics such as turfgrass identification, fertilization, pest control, and best mowing practices. This is a great course for people who may have recently entered the industry or would just like a good refresher course on some of the fundamentals of turfgrass management. The course will run from approximately 8:00-5:00 each day and lunch and snacks will be provided both days.

Dates and Times:
January 4, 2018 - 8:00-5:00
January 5, 2018 - 8:00-4:00

Day 2 Agenda:
  • Turfgrass ID, 8:00-9:15 (Dr. Justin Moss)
  • Irrigation, 9:30-10:30 (Dr. Justin Moss)
  • Turfgrass Establishment, 10:40-11:40 (Dr. Mike Richardson)
  • Mowing (Dr. Mike Richardson) 12:30-1:30
  • Turfgrass Fertilization, 1:45-2:45 (Dr. Doug Karcher)
  • Cultivation, 3:00-4:00 (Dr. Doug Karcher)
