Hey Everyone,

I've got a Honda HRN mower and I was thinking about taping the handlebar and/or blade engage bar. The biggest annoyance is really the blade engage bar, but I wasn't sure if the padding would cause issues with the blade engaging or staying engaged. I started it up yesterday and tried to eyeball it and see if it made a difference not being fully depressed and it seemed ok. Just seeing if you guys ever done it and if so, what did you use? I was thinking of bicycle handlebar tape, but maybe that's too thick?

I did think about that too. I might go with something like my fishing gloves with the fingers cut out. Don’t have to worry about the thickness of grip tape then at least.

I tried a couple different brands. Works great for a short while. The hot Texas sun inevitably makes it peel away.

Which brands did you try @Austinite ? I might be down for a project! LOL It gets hot down here in VA, but it ain't no Texas! LOL!
