Ok. I have battled Powdery Mildew and what I have been told is Leaf Spot. I did a treatment of Eagle 20 at 1.2 oz/1000 on June 13. I also did a Disease Ex at 4lbs/1000 (curative rate) on June 18. I did a second Eagle 20 app on June 28 at 1.2 oz/1000. The lawn looks really good compared to what it was (well, quackgrass sucks). But now I am very concerned about this "spot". I do not see any like it anywhere else on my property.

I am looking for guidance. Is it just a spot where the Leaf Spot took hold and is thinning it or just that stubborn? Is it some other fungus (HOW?). Is it something normal? Or does my whole lawn suck and that's the good spot. :(

The only other things on this lawn since first Eagle 20 is Milorganite at a normal rate, Air-8 and D-Thatch at 6 ounces/1000. I noticed it before, but I did put down RGS and Humic 12 last night as well.

Not sure what it is but I can say that I have a fair amount of hard, brown stems in last years renovation similar to what I see in your first picture. I sprayed fungicide once but at this point with the heat and humidity coming I'm just mowing and hoping it grows out. I feel like I have this every year and it slowly grows out without too much action on my part.

Might be the tree, I can see the root indents in that section when I open the bigger pic and zoom in. Maybe try watering just that spot and see what happens.
P.S. I don't feel so bad about my smallish quack grass problem anymore :D :D

I have done some research. Might be doing the glyphosate + cotton glove (or brush) method on it. I am done staring at it and getting mad.
That and an MSU article stated feeding the lawn .25 to .50 lbs of N per 1000 every 2 weeks is a slow but possible solution to crowd it out over time.

I do plan on really soaking that spot depending on the rainfall we are supposed to get tomorrow and Sunday.
