So i have 5500ft^2 lawn. My soil sample came back and said I need roughly 2lbs of NPK each.

I got some 13-13-13.

So if i need to put 2lbs/1k ft^2 I need roughly 85lbs of fertilizer for the entire yard?

(2lbs N/1k ft^2 ) * (1 fert/.13 lb N) = 15.4lbs fert/1k ft^2

So to put down 2lbs of N per 1k sqft with 13N i need to put down 15.4lbs of total weight fertilizer. Since my yard is 5.5k ft^2. That mean i need 15.4lbs * 5.5ft^2 = 85lbs of fertilize of 13-13-13 needs to be spread.
This seems like a lot. Did I do my calculation wrong?

Math is perfect, BUT, 2lbs per 1k seems like a lot. You should be fine with 1lb now and then again 4 weeks later. So 42.5lbs total product.
Damn, thank god I got a push spreaders.

Well I just based this calculation off the 2lb recommendation of the soil sample. Says I need 2.09lbs of N, 1.8lbs of P and 1.7lbs of K.

Oddly enough this soil sample was 2 weeks after Waynes came by and treated the yard. The soil sample test prior to that said I needed 3.5lbs per 1k.

I've got a 50lb bag of the 13-13-13. So I'll probably just throw that entire bag out and then do another in 4weeks like you suggested.

Yea I guess they meant you need that much throughout the season. Can tell us exactly what you bought? Brand, so I can look it up?
I'm not sure honestly. I thought it was only good for 4 weeks or so. I got it from a local feed and see store (coop style).

The bag has a FFF symbol on it with the name, Farmers favorite fertilizer 13-13-13.
