My Bermuda sod was laid in January of this year as a new build. In April it will definitely need aeration. I’ve found twincity sun queen Bermuda seed or turboturf seed. I need sand in some areas for the overseeding as it now has several bare spots that the seed couldn’t root into (Alabama clay) it’s around 8500-9000 sqft that will be aerated and overseeded with maybe 30% that looks like beautiful, full Bermuda. Is any sand okay and should I just spread sand across the entire 9k sqft? Brand, brand new to this and not expecting a miracle but want a healthier/better lawn.

Something about your cultural practices or the area itself caused the sod to die to begin with. Continuously re-sodding would be an exercise in futility unless you figure out why the grass died to begin with. Not enough water, too much shade, construction debris...etc.
If you have any water standing or anything like that, anything you put there is going to just do the exact same thing and be a waste of your money as you're going to be in the same exact spot at the end of next season if not sooner.
That is entirely 100% possible, but honestly I would check myself to see if that was the case or not. Screwdriver test would work very well in determining if that was the case. Bermuda will grow on almost anything. It may struggle in an area affected by compacted concrete, but it would still grow.
