I've always used Scott's lawn food in the past and it worked really well, however I've recently switched to Milorganite and love it!! Anything high in nitrogen will be good for your lawn. Bermuda is a really easy grass, just water, fert, and mow!! As far as mowing hight I will leave that to the experts, but I would probably mow at about 1.5-2" for the first year to get the roots established. I recently bought a McLane reel mower and have been loving it!! I really wanted a TruCut but they are crazy expensive and I'm really happy with my purchase!! Good luck with the new lawn, you will love Bermuda!!!

I would start mowing it as soon as it looks like it needs it - as long as you can get on it without rutting it or tearing it up.

Your HOC will depend a lot on what mower you are using (you can cut lower with a reel). McLane and Tru-Cut are the popular homeowner reel mowers. Also California Trimmer, but we don't see as many of those in this region.

I would go ahead and fertilize it. You should be able to find something with slow release Nitrogen at SiteOne or Ewing Irrigation in Tulsa. I would send a message to lagerman72 and see what he is buying. Milorganite is also an option, depending on the size of your lawn (it can get expensive for a large lawn).

Welcome Geoberry! Definitely follow what others have said for your mowing habits. As far as fertilizer I'm pretty much only using Milorganite this year but have had good luck going to SiteOne (55th and just a little East of Garnett) for Lesco slow release blends in the past. The guys there are super nice and will talk with you about your needs/wants. Good luck and remember to take some pictures along the way, as it's always good to look back upon.
