So when a cultivar appears in different data sets from year to year, is it 100% the same, or can it be modified? In other words, if a cultivar is further refined, does it still go under the same name or does it get a new one?
Like if you look at the 06-10
genetic color data, midnight scores a mean of 7.5. Yet in the 2016 data, it's up to a 8.3, higher than blueberry.
If cultivars can't change, is this just simply variance in results from year to year?
edit: Looking again, it may be because many sites aren't reporting yet so the mean is a bit unreliable. But still, most of the sites that are in both data sets scored it higher this data set.
